5th Annual Valley Vase This Weekend…

The Northern Cyclones would like to remind all members of the club that the 5th Annual Senior Valley Vase is to be held this weekend (9-10th May 09) at the Valley Lesuire Centre in Newtownabbey. As always this should be a great tournament with some excellent hockey played along the way. This year there are 10 teams in the tournament; Armagh Stars, Bangor Chiefs, Blaze, Belfast Bruins, Chelmsford Stars, Dublin Riot, ECB, Kilkenny Bandits, UK Titans and of course the Northern Cyclones.

As always the teams have been split into two groups. Group A sees the Cyclones join hot favourites the UK Titans, 2 time Valley Vase champions Dublin Riot, hosts ECB and local rivals the Bangor Chiefs while Group B boasts last years champions the Belfast Bruins, newcomers in the form of the Armagh Stars, returnee’s in Chemlsford Stars and Killkenny Bandits and the Blaze.

Anyone who wants to come along to watch and make some noise for the Cyclones are more than welcome and would be much appreciated. Our fixtures are listed below:

The knockout rounds of the tournament will be held on Sunday 10th May.
