The Northern Cyclones inline hockey club would like to congratulate six members of the senior squad for being selected to represent the Northern Ireland region at the forthcoming BIPHA Superleague Weekend in Rotherham.
Forwards Clark Caughey, Dave Nicolai and Steven Ewen join defencemen Tony Sinton, who was also named captain, Richard Grace and netminder Brian Morrow in the 22 man squad that will travel to England on the 7th March 2009.
This is the first time that a team from Northern Ireland will have competed in the Superleague. Teams are made up of the best players from each of the BIPHA Regions (Central, North East, North West, South, South West, South Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland) who then compete in a round robin tournament to decide to progresses to the knockout stages of the competition.
