The Northern Cyclones have moved quickly to fill the vacant netminding position in the senior team created with the retirement of Brian Morrow. Brians replacement comes in the form of Belfast Bruins netminder Malcolm Caughers, who becomes the first new face in the Cyclones line-up for the 2008/09 season.
For the past 2 seasons Malcolm has enjoyed success with the Bruins, success that he is hoping to add to in the forthcoming season with the Cyclones having lifted 2 NIIHA League Championships, as well as a Valley Vase winners medal in his time playing with the Bruins.
Alongside Colum Miskelly, Malcolm will bring depth to the Cyclones goaltending and with this signing the Cyclones will have one of the best netminding pairs in the league.
