U12s Capture League Title

The Junior Cyclones clinced the first annual NIIHA U12 league title after beating East Coast Blaze 8-6 at Bangor this morning. Going into the game the kids knew that a good result would crown them champions but also, that the Blaze weren’t going to lie down and take it.

Although the game was end to end, the Cyclones never looked like losing with Stephen Eccles bagging 4 goals, Nathan Dorrian picking up 2 and Paul Smyth and Andrew McIlwrath getting 1 a piece.

In the final few minutes ECB pushed hard and almost saw their efforts come good, only to be stopped by some heroics in goal. As the final whistle blew the Cyclones celebrated their first league trophy having gone the season without being beaten with just one game remaining.
