Barely a week after the Senior Cyclones retained their NIIHA playoff title the wee men added their own playoff title at Under 12 level. As East Coast Blaze forfeited the semi final due to a large injury list, the Cyclones received a bye through to the final to face either the Ballymoney Badgers or Bangor Chiefs. With the Chiefs edging the Badgers in their semi, the final was set with a local rivals game on the cards.
The Cyclones with a full strength team hit first and raced out to a 2-0 lead and were really controlling the game with the defence looking a lot tighter than usual.
The Cyclones ran out 6-1 winners at the end of the two periods and this produced another “lets jump the goalies” celebration.
